Jeenie90

The Boostie – Jeenie90 is a reusable in-bed repositioning system that makes boosting and turning patients safer, smoother, and less physically demanding. Featuring a low-friction central panel, stabilising high-friction edge zones, and reinforced grip loops for secure manual handling, it allows carers to move patients up the bed or turn them with minimal effort while maintaining dignity and comfort. Where assisted turning is preferred, the loops can be used with a suitable belt, strap, or compatible turning aid, rather than attaching directly to a hoist.

What is an In Bed System?

The Boostie – Jeenie90 is a full-length, reusable in-bed repositioning system designed to remain under the patient for immediate use. It features a central low-friction panel for smooth, controlled movement up the bed or into side-lying positions, paired with high-friction edge zones to prevent unwanted sliding once repositioning is complete.

Along each side, reinforced belt loops serve as secure grip points for manual handling, allowing carers to perform controlled repositioning with reduced effort. Where hoist-assisted turning is preferred, the loops can be used in combination with a suitable belt, strap, or compatible turning device, rather than connecting directly to a hoist.

By combining movement efficiency, positional stability, and controlled hoist compatibility, the Boostie enables dignified, low-effort patient repositioning in both acute and community care settings.

Why are they Needed?

Repositioning patients in bed is one of the most frequent manual handling tasks in healthcare, yet it remains a leading cause of musculoskeletal injuries among carers. Without the right equipment, the process can also cause discomfort, shearing forces, or skin breakdown for patients — particularly those who are frail, bariatric, post-surgical, or require long-term care. The Boostie – Jeenie90 addresses these challenges with a design that actively reduces handling force, supports infection control through washability, and maintains patient stability throughout the move. Its blend of friction-reducing and stabilising fabrics ensures movement is smooth when needed and secure when not, making it an essential tool for safer, more comfortable repositioning in hospitals, care homes, and community settings.

Why Choose Jeenie In Bed Systems?

The Boostie – Jeenie90 is designed to make one of the most frequent and physically demanding care tasks — repositioning patients in bed — safer, easier, and more dignified. Its low-friction satin central panel enables patients to be boosted up the bed or turned laterally with minimal effort, reducing the risk of musculoskeletal injury to carers. The high-friction edge zones prevent unintentional movement once repositioning is complete, keeping the patient stable and secure.

Reinforced belt loops are positioned along each side to provide multiple, clearly defined grip points for manual handling, enabling carers to carry out controlled repositioning with reduced effort. Where assisted turning is preferred, the loops can be used in combination with a suitable belt, strap, or compatible turning aid, rather than attaching directly to a hoist. Integrated mattress-securing straps keep the system firmly anchored, preventing fabric movement or bunching, which can cause instability and discomfort in lesser systems.

The Boostie supports infection control protocols with a washable, hospital-grade construction that withstands laundering at 60°C without compromising performance. With a safe working load of 350kg for turning, it is suitable for bariatric and complex care environments as well as standard use.
