LITE
Turn any chair into a smart chair that supports early mobilisation, engagement and movement

About the System
Early mobilisation is a critical part of rehabilitation. Patients who remain in bed for long periods can experience rapid deconditioning which affects muscle strength, balance, circulation and overall mobility. Moving a person from bed to chair is often the first milestone that supports posture, core activation and engagement in daily activity.
However, moving someone to a chair does not automatically solve the problem. In many cases the patient goes from a pressure relieving mattress to a standard foam chair and may remain seated for hours with minimal movement. This creates new challenges around pressure, inactivity and the risk of further deconditioning.
Preventie Lite provides the solution.
A Non Invasive Smart Sensor Sheet for Any Chair
Preventie Lite is a discreet sensor sheet placed on the chair surface. It requires no installation or chair modification and instantly transforms any seat into a smart mobility assessment tool.
The system tracks:
-
In chair movement and micro shifts
-
Sit to stand assessments
-
Postural improvements
-
Functional movement linked to posture and core strength
Clinicians gain real time insight into how a person is moving, what positions support the best sit to stand performance and whether the individual is progressing or showing signs of reduced activity.
The technology gives depth to assessments and highlights changes that cannot be seen by the eye alone.
A New Approach to Engagement: Game Mode
Preventie Lite includes a unique feature called Game Mode. This uses gentle body movement to play a simple on screen game, similar to the classic Pong style many people recognise.
By shifting left and right the user controls a paddle on the screen, encouraging natural weight transfer, trunk rotation and core activation.
It supports:
-
Posture
-
Core strength
-
Gentle movement
-
Engagement and cognitive connection
-
Alternation of pressure points through natural motion
Game Mode is particularly effective for dementia care, stroke rehabilitation, neuro patients and older adults who benefit from simple, meaningful interaction.
It brings enjoyment into rehabilitation and creates a positive interaction between staff and patients as they encourage progress and celebrate beating previous scores.
Support for Clinical Teams
Preventie Lite creates a smarter seating environment without changing equipment. Mobility scores and movement patterns can be monitored over time to support clinical decision making and highlight improvement or risk of decline.
It provides a bridge between bed based support and active therapy, sustaining mobility gains while the patient is seated.
Why Preventie Lite Matters
-
Reduces the risk of deconditioning during seated periods
-
Adds objective measurement to traditionally subjective seating assessments
-
Encourages movement that mirrors the benefits of pressure relieving surfaces
-
Enhances staff and patient engagement
-
Works on any chair
Preventie Lite is an effective way to ensure that early mobilisation does not simply move issues from the bed to the chair. Instead it turns seated time into meaningful therapeutic activity.
Implementation & Support
We don’t just hand over the tech and walk away. We work directly with your teams to embed the system into your existing patient assessments and daily routines. From setup to rollout, we support every step—on-site and hands-on.
Whether you’re running trials, developing a new falls strategy, or integrating the tool into existing forms like FIM, we’ll help shape it around your needs. Training is provided, support is ongoing, and the goal is simple: make it useful, usable, and genuinely supportive for your frontline teams.
