The Glidie™ is a robust, lightweight, tri-folding lateral transfer board designed to provide a stable bridge between two surfaces, supporting smooth and controlled patient transfers in both lying and seated positions.
Ideal for use across hospital wards, operating theatres, radiology departments, emergency departments and ambulance services, the Glidie supports patient transfers between beds, trolleys, stretchers and other compatible surfaces.
Manufactured from durable, high-strength polymer, the Glidie weighs just 3 kg, making it easy to handle, transport and store. Its innovative tri-folding design allows it to extend to 1,800 mm whilst folding down to a compact 480 × 600 mm for convenient storage and rapid deployment.
With a Safe Working Load (SWL) of 625 kg, the Glidie is suitable for a wide range of patients, including bariatric patients. It can also be used alongside compatible patient transfer solutions such as the Liftie™ and Swooshie™, providing greater flexibility across different care environments.
